Speak with Intention - Your Words Create Your World

We talk,  we speak, we communicate every day.But are we doing these with an intention?

Our words are not just sounds that come out of our mouth - it is that we build our lives with. They shape our self - image, our relationships and the distinct reality. Just like how a beautiful sculpture is chiseled by a sculptor, we have to choose our words with care.

There were a few lots of moments in my life when I spoke way too quickly - letting our my frustration and a few times fear spilling out without me knowing it explicitly. We should always keep in mind that words once spilled cannot be taken back at any cost. And out of fear of rejection - I had held back truth. Out of fear of conflict - I had held back my words. These have made me feel a slow erosion of self worth.

Speaking with awareness is not speaking with perfect vocabulary but it is definitely Intentional Speaking. It is pausing before responding. It is asking our self: “ Is what I am about to say is honest? Is it kind? Is it necessary?”

Over time, I stared noticing how certain words healed wounds while others reopened them. Words both I spoke and I heard.

Words of encouragement given at the right time made a big impact in some one and it became a turning point in their life. A gentle ‘no’ spoken with clarity and grace gives the space that is desperately needed at the situation.

We under estimate the power of our voice. Your truth, when spoken with kindness and confidence, becomes your strength.

Question to Ponder:
Is there a truth you have been afraid to speak out loud ever? What held you or holds you back?

Here is a journal prompt for you to make a reflection:
Think of a time when your word or words bought clarity, comfort, or connection. How did that experience shaped your understanding of not just speaking but of communication?
