Growth is Stepping Over the Things You Trip On
Life has a way of throwing the same stones in our path - over and over. Sometimes they look different, sometimes they come disguised as people, opportunities, or emotions. But if we look closely, many of the things we tripped on yesterday - fear, self doubt, comparison, anger or even past hurt.
We fall. We scrape our knees. We cry. We pause.
And then we rise. That rise - however slow, however unsure - is growth.
Growth isn't perfection.
It isn't about never stumbling again. It isn't about walking a smooth, straight road where nothing ever gets in your way. Growth is about recognizing the stone that made you fall, and the next time, stepping over it. May be not with ease, may be not with confidence, but with awareness.
Growth is awareness.
It is that shift in thought a dejavu - "Wait, I've been here before. I know ths piain. I know this pattern I know how this ends - and I choose differently this time."
That's it. That small moment - that single decision - that is growth.
You no longer fall the same way. You no longer react the same way. You pause, breathe, reflect and then act with intention.
Growth is gentle.
It doesm't always roar. Sometimes, it whispers.
It/s in forgiving someone who never apologized.
It's in setting boundaries you once feared.
It's in walking away from chaos that once felt like comfort.
It's in choosing silence when ego pushes you to speak.
Growth is not linear.
There will be days you step over one stone and fall at the next. That's okay. Progress is not a straight road - it winds, loops, and sometimes takes you back just to show how far you have come.
Growth is in how you treat yourself when you trip.
Do you curse yourself? Or do you speak with kindness?
Do you shame your pace? or do you honour your effort?
So the next time, life makes you stumble, ask yourself - " Have I seen this stone before?" And if the answer is yes, smile. Because now, you get to step over it.
And that is GROWTH.
