The Beauty of Discussions: Finding What is Right, Not Who is Right

Most of the times a calm conversations turns into a heated argument. It is worth to be noted. One moment, you are simply expressing your thoughts, and the next, you are caught up in proving your point. We have all been there - defending our opinions, raising our voices, and walking away feeling exhausted or misunderstood. Yet, if we take a step back, we will realize that what we truly wanted was not to win the argument, but to be understood. That is where the real difference between a discussion and argument lies. An argument is about ego; a discussion is about understanding. An argument is a contest - where two sides fight to determine who is righ t. But a discussion is a collaboration - where both sides explore what is right. It may sound like a simple play on words, but this shift in focus can transform not just conversations, but relationships, workplaces, and even te way we perceive the world.   When we argue, our mind automatically switches into defence mode. Start Where You Are - Because Today is the Youngest You will Ever Be

There is a quiet truth that often slips by us in the rush of daily life - no matter your age, you will always wish you started younger . Whether it is pursuing a dream, learning a skill, taking care of your health, or changing your lifestyle, that thought somehow sneaks in. "If only I had begun earlier." But the heart of this message lies in what follows - today is the youngest you will ever be. That single line has the power to shift your entire perspective. We often underestimate the value of now. We look back with regret, imagining how much farther we could have gone. If we had just taken that step years ago. But in doing so we forget something vital - years from today, we might look back at this moment with the same longing. We might say, "If only I had started when I thought about it back then." The truth is there is never a perfect time to start. Life will never hand you an ideal moment wrapped in certainty. There will always be doubts, distractions and excus...

"What is Your Bag?" - A Reflection of the Invisible Load We Carry

I keep reminiscing myself regularly as to what is in my bag, both my hand bag and also my back bag. But behind this simple question "What is in your bag" lies a deep meaning of what we carry not just in our physical bag but also in the invisible bag, that we have which includes our mind and heart.  We have to understand that every other day we carry a bag - both real and invisible. The real bag might be a leather toe, a back bag or the unseen emotional pouch that is hanging on to your shoulders. But have you ever stopped to ask yourself: "What is in my bag?" Every now and then I do a thorough search, clean the bag sort the bills and papers throw away unwanted ones and repack them with all the necessary and important things. We pack so many things before stepping out into the world. Some we consciously choose - our phones, keys, wallets and plans for the day may be a to do list or physical planners too. But along with them we also carry things we did not intent to -...

The Irony of Cooking What You Can't Eat

"You cannot eat what you cook" There is quiet kind of pain in spending hours in the kitchen preparing a meal you can't even taste. The aroma fills the air, the sizzling sounds bring life to the room, and your hands indistinctively ove through familiar motions - chopping stirring, seasoning. Yet, when it is time to serve, you step back, you smile for others to enjoy, but inside, there is a hollow space that whispers "You made it, but it is not for you". This situation can be literal or symbolic. May be you can't eat what you cook because of dietary restrictions, allergies, or health reasons. Ot may be it is deeper - may be you have spent your energy creating joy, comfort, and success for others while forgetting to nourish yourself. The Literal Irony For many people, this phrase is a lived reality. Imagine cooking a lavish meal filled with diary, glutten or spices you can no longer have. You know every flavour, every texture-  yet you can only admire from afa...

Look Up - The Wisdom Above Us

How often do we go about our day staring at screens lost in to - do lists, or distracted by noise, without ever looking up? "Keep an eye on the sky every chance you get." The simple reminder is not just about enjoying nature - it is about reconnecting with awe, presence, and perspective. The sky is canvas of change.  One moment it is clear blue with soft clouds drifting, the next it is painted in fiery hues at sunset, or stormy with grey tension. Watching it reminds us that everything changes-including our problems, moods and moments of joy.  When we pause to look at the sky: We breathe deeper. Nature has a way of slowing us down.  We remember how small we are - and that is freeing, Our worries shrink in the vastness.  We find gratitude - for light, rain, stars and sunrises.  We notice beauty - a luxury we often forget to indulge in.  Looking up can also be symbolic: When life feels heavy, shift your focus, Left y our graze. Let the sky remind you the...

When Peace Matters More Than People

There is a deep truth in life: we don't always need relationships to heal our wounds, sometimes what we really need is solitude. Quiet moments spent alone can restore our mind in ways that no conversation or company can.  "We don't always need relationships to heal our mind's wounds. Peace of mind often be found in solitude itself. Every relationship, no matter how close, has the power to break us like a glass vessel if it is not handled carefully. Once broken, it may never return to its original form." This reflection reminds us that while human connections are valuable, not all of them bring healing or strength. Some relationships may leave us more drained than comforted. That is why learning to sit with ourselves, to embrace loneliness as a friend rather than a burden, becomes important.  Peace does not always come from people - it often comes from within. Solitude allows us to breathe, reset, and remind ourselves of our own worth. Relationships may break, peo...

Choosing What to Accept and What to Let Go

The Key to Happiness Happiness is not about having a perfect life where everything goes your way. It is about knowing where to hold on and where to let go. Every day, life presents us with situations, people, and emotions - some that uplift us and some that weigh us down. The real power lies in understanding that we always have a choice.  We can choose what to accept: love, respect, opportunities, lessons, and even challenges that makes us stronger. And we can also choose what to let go: grudges, toxic relationships, past regrets, unnecessary comparisons, and the need for constant control.  When we stop carryinv unnecessary baggage, our hearts feel lighter. When we stop resisting things beyond our control, our minds feel calmer. And when we let go of what drains us, we create space for joy, peace and growth.  Happiness is not a destination - it is a daily practice. It begins with a simple yet powerful question: " Do I need to hold on to this, or is it time to let i...

A Nightly Ritual for a Better Tomorrow

Before the world falls silent and sleep takes over, gift yourself a few quiet moments of self reflection. Each night, pause and gently evaluate your day - not with judgement, but with honesty and curiosity. What went well? What did not? Where did your emotions get the best of you? Where did you show strength, kindness or resilience? Understanding your real situation is not about criticizing yourself. It is about facing the truth of where you are, so you can grow from there. When you identify the areas you need to improve - whether it is patience, focus, communication, or self-discipline - you create a clear path forward. This simple act of reflection acts as a reset. It is a promise to yourself that each new day, is an opportunity to be a better version of who you were yesterday. You don;t need perfection. You just need presence.  Let every night become a stepping stone toward growth. Let every morning greet a more aware, more empowered you.

A Sunrise That Reminded Me - It's Okay to Slow Down

Here is something - usually, I am the type who chases sunrises like some sort of over-caffenated Yogi. I have sat on Marina's sandy stretch, caught the light sow in Kanyakumari, and even soaked it all in from the Andamans. Every single time, it is been the wild, heart thumping "wow" moment burned into my memory.  But then there was this one morning. Nothing fancy, no grand plans. Just woke up stupidly early - like, "Why am I even conscious right now?" early. The house was dead quiet, which never happens, except for the occassional car horn grumbling somewhere out on the main road. Honestly, I thought, "Well, this is peak auditing. Awake while every one else is still drooling on the pillows" And then it hit me. I could not remember the last time I did just sat on my balcony with my coffee. Not rushed, not multitasking, just.... chilling. So I brewed my filter coffee (none of that mug nonsense - if it is not in a davara tumbler, is it even coffee?) and p...
